Burns, Squire McLain 11/5/1950 - 11/25/2018 Kalamazoo, MI Squire McLain Burns "Mac," age 68, of Gobles,MI, passed away following a brief illness on November 25, 2018 at Bronson Methodist Hospital surrounded by his family. Mac was the son of Lawrence A. Burns and Josephine J. Burns of Mattawan, MI. Mac was raised on his families farm growing up. He attended Paw Paw High School and later went on to become a United States Army veteran. Following discharge from the military he spent many years performing property maintenance, landscaping, small and large engine repair. He enjoyed working on cars and attending races. In his later years he enjoyed ed art, playing his guitar and camping with his friends. He enjoyed spending time with his dog Wendall walking and whittling wood. Mac was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his best friend and companion Gail Forbes and her daughter Jesse both from Gobles, MI. His daughter Tara Dean and his three grandsons Evonti, Jarrel, and Tequiras, formerly of Florida and currently Kalamazoo, MI. He is also survived by his three sisters and brother Carole Rickli of Mattawan, MI;Jeannette Dusseljee of Mattawan, MI and Sarah Richmond of South Haven, MI. His brother Lawrence Burns, Jr from Lake Doster, MI and his common law bother n law Billy Joe Forbes as well as many nieces and nephews. Per Mac's request cremation has already taken place. On December 15, 2018 family and friends may gather at Larry's Pun in Gobles, MI from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. A luncheon will be available while sharing memories of Mac.
