RONALD JAMES HOWRIGON SR. October 9, 1940 to December 5, 2018 Ron passed away at Rose Arbor after a brief illness. He was born October 9, 1940 in Delton, Michigan to parents Marshall Sr. and Lena Howrigon Henry who have preceded in death along with his younger brother Don and sister Donna. He is survived by his wife Eileen. His children; Cindy (Scott) Nyberg, Ronald Jr. (Kristen) Howrigon, Angie (Curt) Davis, grandchildren Katie & Jill Nyberg, Cody & Cara Davis, Connor, Brenden & Reagan Howrigon all of North Carolina. His oldest brother Marsh (Margeret) Howrigon, Ed (Sandy) Howrigon, nieces and nephews and several cousins. Ron also has three step children; Randy (Rhonda) Brainerd of Kalamazoo, Lori (Mike) Lacy of Holland, Susan (Scott) Blahnik of Otsego, step grandchildren Erica (Jaymes) Kyle of Portage, Ashley (Dan) Mantione of Richland and Shelby Lacy of Connecticut, Emily Lacy of Holland and Kevon & Jaylen Cook of Otsego. Ron lived in the Plainwell area all his life, he loved sport and being around people. He worked road construction 13 years, Hogans Inn in Plainwell and finished his working years with 28 years at Community Shoppers Guide in Otsego. He and his wife enjoyed working in their yard, traveling to North Carolina and just being together. Ron always said "the only thing you leave in this world when you die is your children", he believes he left three of the best. According to Ron's wishes cremation has taken place. Burial will take place at Hillside Cemetery in Plainwell at a later date. Cremation handled by Avink Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan, Kalamazoo.
