Peggy Lynn Cauchy

Cauchy, Peggy 12/21/1947 - 8/3/2017 Kalamazoo Peggy Lynn Cauchy, 69, of Kalamazoo, peacefully returned to the source August 3, 2017 at Rose Arbor Hospice after a two-year battle with cancer. She was born December 21, 1947 to Ellis and Evelyn (Wulff) Wacha in Greenville, MI. She attended Michigan State University where she would meet her husband Robert Cauchy. After graduation and their marriage in 1970 they spent a brief time in Colorado before their hearts brought them back to Michigan, making dear friends along the way in Lawrence, Paw Paw, and ultimately Kalamazoo. They were married for 41 years until Robert's death in 2011. Peggy is survived by her son Zachary of Traverse City. An only child herself, she gave and received love from Robert's parents, sister, and four brothers. When she became ill she received an outpouring of help and love from her friends and family commensurate with the love she gave to all of them. She loved reading, walking, gardening, and feeding and watching the birds. She cared for and loved many pets over the years, most recently her cat Wally. She spent 25 years as the Administrative Assistant for the Kalamazoo College Physics, Math, and Computer Science departments, where she made devoted friends of her coworkers, professors, and students alike. Peggy chose to donate her body to the Medical School at WMU so that even in death her generosity will live on. In lieu of flowers please send donations in her name to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan. A celebration of her life will occur next spring. In the meantime friends can share memories and photos at www.avinkcremation.com.
