Muriel Reva

Muriel Mary Reva (nee Fagan) June 18, 1958 - November 29th, 2019 Of Mattawan, Michigan, (formerly of St. Joseph's, St. Mary's Bay, Newfoundland, and Calgary, Alberta) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Muriel Reva surrounded by her loving family at the Kairos Place Hospice in Kalamazoo, Michigan, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. She is now at peace, out of pain and in the arms of her Heavenly Father. Muriel is pre-deceased by her parents Edward and Mildred Fagan, brother Peter, and sister- in-law Connie Roberts. Leaving to mourn: her loving husband Jim Reva; her children Marc Power (Jordan), Darryl Power, Danielle Mikolasek (Ryan); her grandchildren Madelyn and Max Mikolasek; her stepchildren Darrin Reva (Erin), Celina Newton (Adam); grandchildren Dominick Hagenbuch, Hendrix Newton and Royce Reva; her siblings Edward, Rosemary Power (Ron), Ann Marie Reardon (Tony), Agnes Quinn, Phonse, Steve (Debbie), Kevin (Shirley) and Art (Zena), and their families; her sisters-in-law Peggy Flickinger (Bob) and Susan Essar, and their families; her many nieces and nephews; and a wide circle of friends whom she loved dearly. She is also missed by her dear little dogs, Princess Muffy, Darby and Dash who were always on Mom’s lap in the chair or in bed, especially during her illness. Muriel loved to laugh, and her unique giggle could easily be picked out of the crowd at a play or a party. She maintained loyal friendships across many years and time-zones and could always be counted on for a kind word or sympathetic ear when most needed. Hard work came to her naturally and often, and her dedication in her various jobs over the years, was only exceeded by her love for her family - for whom she would go to the ends of the Earth. Special thanks are extended to the caring professional staff of Hospice of SW Michigan and Kairos Dwelling of Kalamazoo for their critical attention and compassion during her illness and also to her employer, Plaza Corporation, for their exceptional generosity during this difficult period. A Celebration of Life will take place Thursday, December 5th, 5:00 pm at Freshwater Community Church, 600 E Michigan Ave, Paw Paw, MI 49079. Please visit Muriel’s webpage at www.avinkcremation.com where you can sign her guestbook, and/or share a memory with the family. Muriel loved Christmas.
