Jerome Dale Lambert

Jerome Dale “Jerry” Lambert, of Augusta, Michigan died Friday, July 2, 2021, at the age of 79 of a stroke. He was born February 12, 1942, in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Jurien Paul “Bud” Lambert and Virginia Anna “Ginny” (Snyder) Lambert. He attended Richland area schools and had the distinct pleasure, and very memorable experience, of having Hazel Wildermuth as his teacher. Jerry worked as a Pressman for over 30 years at the Michigan Carton Corporation - you have probably eaten cereal out of a box he printed. A lifelong resident of the Kalamazoo and the Battle Creek area, Jerry was a car guy! A day would not pass without him talking about cars. He had the pleasure of living during one of the greatest eras of car history, the muscle car era. These cars did not have good brakes, handle well, or get good gas mileage, but they will always be recognized as being a significant part of American automobile history. While Jerry’s last car was not the most famous of the muscle cars, it did leave a mark on the automotive culture. At his passing he owned the Big Block Chevrolet Nova. Jerry is preceded in death by his father Bud in 1997, his mother Ginny in 2000, and his brother Ron in 2008. Surviving are his son Stephen Blair Lambert (Karen) of Richland, MI, his granddaughter Blair Elizabeth Woerfel (Markus) of Chicago, IL, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. In lieu of flowers, please consider a tax-deductible donation in his name to the Gilmore Car Museum, 6865 W. Hickory Road, Hickory Corners, Michigan 49060.
