Donna Jean Cekander

Donna J. Cekander, age 78, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2020. Donna was born on September 7, 1942 to John and Leona (Welch) Utterback. Donna grew up in Lansing and was a huge Michigan State Spartans fan, she especially enjoyed watching the basketball and football games. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved spending time with them, and even in the end her eyes would light up when they came to see her. Surviving are her children, Cathie (Chris) Lewis, John (Carolyn) Cekander, and Karmon (Jeff) Reynolds, grandchildren, Leslie, Jordin, Justin, Kathryn, Kristin, Nathan, Alex, and Jessica; sister Jeri May; and numerous great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents and a sister, Joyce Guthrie. A small family service will take place at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Ascension Hospice of Kalamazoo Michigan.
