Debra Sue Keung

Debra Sue Keung, 64, of Marion, IN climbed that stairway to heaven after a hard and long battle with cancer at 10:45 am on Tuesday Dec. 3, 2019 in Kalamazoo, MI surrounded by family and friends. She was born on May 24, 1955 to Larry and Virginia Hickman. After moving back to Indiana from spending a little time in Cleveland, OH, Debra obtained her E.M.T license, and worked for Ambucare Clinic transportation, as well as volunteered for the Swayzee Ambulance Service. She absolutely loved her job, co-workers and patients. Friends and family were Debra’s passion and delight. She loved to host and entertain frequently with cookouts and bonfires. She was very active and loved the outdoors. Camping and yard work were just as much of a favorite pastime as was a euchre tournament or her bowling league. She was also a participant in the Mississinewa 1812 re-enactment during the founding years and last but not least… she was a DIE HARD Green Bay Packer fan. She bled green and yellow through and through. Debra is also survived by a daughter Crystal Keung of Kalamazoo, Mi six grandchildren, Stormy, Cody, Brennan ,Harlie, Ian and Ethan. A brother, Jeff Hickman and a sister Cathy Eppard. As well as several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. In addition to her parents Debra was preceded in death by her son, Mitchell Lee Hickman. A celebration of life memorial will be held at St. James Lutheran Church, 1206 N. Miller Ave, Marion, In on Friday February 21, 2020 at 4:00 pm with Pastor Randy Glander officiating. In lieu of flowers or cards, contributions will be accepted and greatly appreciated to help with the cost of the memorial services.
